Skyrim Creation Kit for PC released on Steam....with a Nice Surprise!!!

The Elder Scrolls Games have always had an extremely large modding community, with Skyrim being no exception.

Within mere days of the games release, the modding community was already hard at work making some interesting changes and additions to the game experience.

Everything from graphical enhancements, performance tweaks, and skin changes have been added and even more game-changing mods are becoming available by the day. A good example of this is the "Midas Magic Mod" which adds some interesting new spells such as summoning a Meteor Storm or even a miniature Dragon.

Bethesda has recently released the official Skyrim Creation Kit, and will be the second game to feature in the Steam Workshop. It has been referred to as a "central hub of player-created content and tools to publish, organize, and download content into your games."

This will provide would-be designers with an incredibly diverse and unique tool to design further content for the game. (The same tool used by the game developers themselves)

Earlier in the week Bethesda promised a surprise when the creation kit was released.

This was revealed today to be a High Resolution Texture Pack developed by Bethesda themselves.

Also interesting to note is that Bethesda teamed up with Valve to create an interesting mod of their own - The Space Sphere Mod.

This brings the lovable and sarcastic robot from Portal 2 into your game as a companion.

Interesting!!!

See the video below to see some of the more interesting features available.
